Discord profile badges appear next to usernames and on profiles to show things like Nitro, Server Booster status, HypeSquad house, Verified Developer, and more. This page lists the main badges, what they mean, and how you can get them (when they’re still obtainable).
Profile badges are small icons or labels that Discord shows on your profile or next to your name. They can indicate a Nitro or Nitro Basic subscription, that you boost a server, your HypeSquad house, that you’re a verified bot developer, a certified moderator, or other roles and achievements. Some badges are only available to partners, employees, or early supporters.
It depends on the badge. Nitro and Nitro Basic come from subscribing in User Settings. Server Booster is from boosting a server with Nitro. HypeSquad badges come from taking the HypeSquad test in User Settings. Verified Developer and Active Developer are from the Discord Developer Portal. Certified Moderator comes from completing Discord’s moderator program. Some badges (e.g. Early Supporter) are no longer obtainable.
